Smithsonian Purchases Samaritan

Samaritan is pleased to announce that the Smithsonian Institution has recently purchased our Enterprise system for all museums and research facilities worldwide. Deployment has begun at the main campus in Washington D.C. with the National Air & Space Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, and all "Behind-The-Scenes" volunteers.  The system will ultimately be the central recruiting and management system for all 60,000 volunteers and interns.

The contrat resulted from a highly competitive bid process in 2011 and we are deeply honored to have been selected as the most qualified vendor.

According to their website "the Smithsonian is the world's largest museum and research complex, consisting of 19 museums and galleries, the National Zoological Park, and nine research facilities."  Founded in 1846 they are also among the oldest and most venerable organizations in the country.
