Samaritan Launches eCoordinator 6.9 with the Ability to Publish to National Websites

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Samaritan set to release version 6.9 on Friday, 4 December 2009

In keeping with our commitment to our customers, Samaritan's latest release, Version 6.9, incorporates a wide range of customer-driven functionality into the system. 

 

These new features will greatly enhance your ability to recruit, manage, and measure your volunteer efforts.

  • Publish your opportunities on national websites.  You will now be able to publish your own opportunities directly to Serve.gov and AllforGood.org. 
  • Volunteers can share opportunities via social networking services.  Volunteer can bookmark and share your opportunities with their friends and family through Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, e-mail, or 205 other sources. 
  • An enhancement to eRecruiter Volunteer Profiles allow for multiple forms or applications.  Smart Tabs can set up the registration process in a wizard-style or provide different applications according to volunteer type or opportunity registration. 
  • Have a reference provide his/her referral electronically through the Reference Portal.  The portal automates the reference process by connecting the volunteer, the reference, and you using your eRecruiter, Reference Portal, and eCoordinator.  
  • The Organization eRecruiter Module makes it easy to for you to work with external or internal organizations that don’t use an eCoordinator yet, but need to post opportunities.  The module allows organizations to sign up through your website, manage their own profile, and interacts directly with your eCoordinator. 
  • The eCoordinator can require an approval of an Organization, Opportunity, and/or Client Profiles by an administrator.  This option provides additional controls for organizations over publishing of opportunities, placement of volunteers and clients, and reporting of service.  
  • Other new features include:  Search by keyword on the eRecruiter Opportunity Search page, control the order of the Volunteer Label Report by the grid setting, additional Scheduling System and Transportation Module upgrades, and volunteer login using alternative credentials such as OpenID, Facebook, Google, etc. 

The upgrade will occur between 5 pm PDT Friday, 4 December 2009, and 12 pm PDT Saturday afternoon, 5 December 2009, or until the upgrade notices are removed from the login page. No interruption in service is anticipated during the release.
